NDC Targets APC's Crisis for 2027 Election Advantage

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is positioning itself to take advantage of the turmoil within the All Progressives Congress (APC) following its primaries in Bayelsa State. Senator Seriake Dickson disclosed this strategy on Thursday, emphasizing the internal disputes and disqualifications that have arisen from the APC primaries.

Comrade Felix Osuoben, the NDC's coordinator for Sagbama and Ekeremor, noted that the APC's crisis could weaken its electoral prospects in the region. The NDC plans to exploit voter apathy, silent defections, and the opportunity to present itself as a cleaner political alternative.

The APC's internal issues, particularly in Bayelsa, are seen as a chance for the NDC to attract frustrated political actors and capitalize on the perception of the APC as neither inclusive nor internally democratic. The NDC is determined to ensure that any cracks in the APC's structure are widened as the 2027 general elections approach.
