Rotimi Amaechi Urges Nigerians to Unite Against Bad Governance Ahead of 2027 Elections

Former Minister of Transport and ex-Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, emphasized the need for Nigerians to unite and vote out bad leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the 21st Nigeria Editor Conference in Abuja, Amaechi called for a collective effort to combat incompetent governance and urged journalists to play a watchdog role by speaking truth to power without ethnic or political bias.

He expressed disappointment in the silence among journalists despite the worsening conditions in the country, highlighting the media's pivotal role in ending military dictatorship in Nigeria.
