NNPP Rejects Coalition Claims, Warns of Impostors Ahead of 2027

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has officially distanced itself from claims of joining any political coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections. Dr Boniface Aniebonam, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the NNPP, issued a statement warning political parties and aspirants against engaging with individuals he termed "impostors." He alleged that some expelled members of the party were falsely presenting themselves as leaders and entering unauthorized political arrangements.

Aniebonam urged anyone who may have made payments to these impostors under the belief they were for legitimate nominations or alliances to seek refunds. He reiterated that the authentic NNPP, represented by its basket of fruits logo, is independent and not part of any coalition.

While the party had previously distanced itself from the G-100 coalition, Aniebonam indicated that the NNPP might consider strategic alliances if necessary. He also identified the authorized representatives of the party, including himself, Dr Agbo Gilbert Major as National Chairman, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday as National Secretary, and Prince Omokanye Adetoyese as National Treasurer.
