NNPP Rejects G-100 Coalition Ahead of 2027 Elections

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), led by National Chairman Agbo Major, has officially distanced itself from the G-100 coalition as political parties prepare for the 2027 general elections. In an interview on Arise Television, Major clarified that the NNPP had previously nominated a presidential candidate but had to withdraw the nomination due to logistical and administrative challenges.

He indicated that the absence of a candidate reflects the party's ongoing discussions with other political entities. Major stated that the NNPP is still evaluating its options and plans to convene soon to make a definitive decision regarding its political direction.

He expressed concerns about the caliber of politicians involved in the G-100 coalition and the complexities of reaching a consensus on a single presidential candidate among them. Major emphasized the challenges the coalition might face in determining who would step down for another candidate if they decide to collaborate.
