Coomassie Advocates Northern Support for Tinubu's 2027 Bid

Saifuddeen Coomassie, a legal analyst from Baze University, has called on the northern region to unite in support of President Bola Tinubu's bid for a second term in the 2027 elections. Speaking on Tuesday, Coomassie warned that opposing Tinubu could exacerbate instability in the North, particularly as the region faces significant challenges such as insecurity and poverty affecting an estimated 10 million school children.

He argued that President Tinubu requires more than four years to effectively address these issues, redirecting blame for the region's struggles towards its own leaders, including former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai and ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Coomassie highlighted the need for northern leaders to mobilize support for Tinubu, who he believes is crucial for the region's future.

He also emphasized the importance of dialogue between Tinubu and northern youth to ensure their grievances are addressed and to foster better representation in governance post-2027.
