Olubadan of Ibadanland Urges Youths to Reject Violence

Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, advised Nigerian youths to reject political violence and bitterness as the 2027 general elections approach. This statement was made during a visit from students of the Leadership Centre, University of Abuja, at his palace in Oke-Aremo, Ibadan North Local Government Area.

The advice was communicated through the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, and was documented in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Gbenga Ayoade. Ladoja encouraged the youths, particularly students, to avoid being used as political thugs or election riggers, emphasizing their potential as future leaders.

He also urged them to explore tourist sites in Ibadan, including the University of Ibadan, Cocoa House, and Bower Tower. Prof Abdulhamid Suleiman, the leader of the visiting team, expressed that the visit aimed to receive royal blessings and discuss the importance of good leadership with the youth.

Dignitaries present included Senior Chief Adewuyi Odunade and Chief Olufemi Olibota.
