Ezeh Urges Opposition Unity for 2027 Elections Success

Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, the Labour Party candidate for the Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, has warned that opposition parties in Nigeria must unite to avoid electoral failure. In an interview, Ezeh highlighted the fragmented state of the current opposition political structure, which he argues undermines their ability to challenge the ruling party effectively.

He called for a broad-based alliance anchored in discipline and strategic coordination to change the political landscape ahead of the elections. Ezeh criticized the internal processes of opposition parties, noting that recent primaries have exposed weaknesses that could diminish public confidence.

He referenced the need for reform within these parties and suggested a dual approach of internal competition and external cooperation to strengthen their platforms. Ezeh also mentioned the political realities surrounding figures like Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, emphasizing that individual movements require broader coalitions to overcome the structural advantages of incumbents.

He cited Abia State Governor Alex Otti as an example of effective leadership that understands the importance of strategic alignment.
