Labour Endorses Paddy Iyamu for 2027 House Race

Organised Labour in Edo State has officially endorsed Paddy Iyamu for the House of Representatives race for the Oredo Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections. This endorsement was announced during a solidarity visit led by Comrade Bernard Eguakhid, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Edo State, and Comrade Lucki Imaruegheru, who spoke on behalf of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT).

Imaruegheru described Iyamu as a visionary leader, highlighting his tenure as Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), where he significantly improved the education sector. Under Iyamu's stewardship, thousands of students benefited from scholarship programs, and 5,000 teachers secured employment through policies he implemented.

The labour leaders expressed confidence in Iyamu's ability to effectively represent the Oredo Federal Constituency and pledged their support. In response, Iyamu thanked the labour unions for their endorsement, emphasizing his commitment to public service and prioritizing the interests of the constituents.
