Peter Obi Commits to Holidaying in Nigeria If Elected

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), announced during a town hall meeting in Kaduna that he would spend his holidays in Nigeria if elected president. He expressed his commitment to visiting areas facing security challenges, specifically naming Zamfara, Borno, Kano, Oyo, and Ondo as potential destinations.

Obi stated, “In four years, I will never take holidays outside this country,” highlighting his focus on improving the country’s security architecture. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that Nigerians can travel without fear of kidnapping, recalling a time when he could drive from Lagos to Kaduna without concern.

Additionally, Obi promised to implement policies that would provide educational opportunities for all children, stating, “We want policies where every child will go to school, a nation where a child of nobody can be somebody without knowing anybody.”.
