Peter Obi Critiques Tinubu's Foreign Holidays, Promises Local Focus

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), criticized President Bola Tinubu for his prolonged stay in France, which has exceeded three weeks. Speaking on Thursday in Asaba, Delta State, during the inauguration of the NDC secretariat, Obi emphasized that Nigerian leaders should remain connected to the country's challenges.

He promised that if elected president, he would spend his holidays in Nigeria, specifically mentioning Agbor and Warri as his holiday destinations. Obi also committed to enhancing Nigeria's healthcare system, insisting that political leaders should utilize local medical facilities instead of traveling abroad for vacations.

He expressed concern over the neglect of the Niger Delta region, despite its significant contributions to the national economy, and assured that an NDC administration would manage public resources transparently to ensure the region benefits from its wealth.
