Peter Obi to Defect to ADC Ahead of 2027 Elections in Enugu Rally

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, is poised to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from the Labour Party as he gears up for the 2027 general elections. Sources reveal that Obi has been in consultations with ADC officials, including the national chairman David Mark.

The defection is expected to be officially declared at a rally in Enugu on December 31, a move that has surprised many as Obi's home state is Anambra. The ADC's national public secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, has neither confirmed nor denied Obi's defection plans, indicating ongoing consultations.
