Umeh: NDC's Kwankwaso Unbeatable in Kano for 2027

Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), asserted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and All Progressives Congress (APC) will not be able to defeat NDC's vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, in Kano State during the 2027 general elections. Umeh expressed confidence in Kwankwaso's electoral strength, stating that he would prevail if the elections were credible and transparent.

He made these remarks during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today. Umeh emphasized the NDC's preparations for the upcoming elections and the party's mechanisms for protecting votes.

He noted the growing support for Peter Obi, the NDC's presidential candidate, as indicative of the party's expanding influence. Umeh clarified that the NDC would not create a parallel result collation system but would monitor the electoral process to ensure transparency.

He also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to enhance its workforce ahead of the elections.
