2027: President Tinubu should have his own Coalition – Philip Shuaibu

Ahead of the 2027 general election, Hon. Philip Shaibu of the Nigerian Institute of Sports (NIS) has called for support for President Bola Tinubu's second term. Shaibu urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu, stating that he is capable of building on the solid foundation already laid in the country.

He dismissed opposition figures forming coalitions, attributing the nation's economic woes to such actions. Shaibu emphasized the need to reject coalitions that bring together those who have looted the economy in the past.

He urged the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) to form a coalition to champion President Tinubu's bid for 2027. Shaibu also praised Tinubu's administration for rebuilding key sectors and stabilizing the economy, pointing to growing confidence from international institutions.

Additionally, TSG's Umar Tanko Yakassai echoed Shaibu's sentiments, dismissing opposition coalitions as platforms for desperate politicians seeking to return to power.
