The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially stated that the dates for the 2027 primary elections will remain unchanged, countering misleading reports circulating on social media. In a statement signed by the party's national secretary, Felix Morka, published on APC's official platform on Wednesday night, the party confirmed that the House of Representatives primary elections are scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2026.

The Senate primary elections will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, followed by the state House of Assembly primary elections on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The governorship primary elections are set for Thursday, May 21, 2026, and the presidential primary elections will occur on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The clarification was deemed necessary to address false claims that suggested changes to the electoral timetable. APC urged its members and the public to disregard unofficial reports regarding the party's electoral schedule.
