APC Urges Nigerians to Question Atiku's Integrity Ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians to examine former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar's record in public office ahead of the 2027 presidential election, citing longstanding corruption allegations. APC's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, highlighted the recent scrutiny surrounding the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project and a $500,000 payment made in January 2003 by Leno Adesanya to Jennifer Douglas, Atiku's then-wife.

This payment was reviewed by an International Chamber of Commerce tribunal, which raised concerns about the evidence provided. Atiku has denied that the tribunal's findings indicate any corruption.

Morka also referenced historical cases involving Atiku, including the Siemens bribery investigation and a 2010 US Senate report on suspicious funds linked to Atiku and Douglas. Additionally, former President Olusegun Obasanjo criticized Atiku, stating he would not have chosen him as a running mate had he known what he later discovered.

Morka criticized Atiku's recent stance on fuel subsidy removal, contrasting it with his previous positions.
