Dapo Abiodun Named APC Consensus Candidate for Ogun East

On Tuesday, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun was formally presented as the consensus candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ogun East Senatorial District for the upcoming 2027 elections. This endorsement occurred during a gathering of major political stakeholders from the district, including former Deputy Governor Olamilekan Adeola and other prominent APC members such as Yetunde Onanuga, Segun Adesegun, Gbenga Kaka, and Ogun State APC Chairman Yemi Sanusi.

The meeting, which took place on April 20, resulted in a unanimous decision to adopt Governor Abiodun as the preferred senatorial candidate, aimed at ensuring quality representation and party unity. Governor Abiodun expressed his gratitude for the support and trust bestowed upon him by the leaders and stakeholders, emphasizing his commitment to providing effective representation for the Ogun East Senatorial District.

He also acknowledged the support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reaffirmed the APC's dedication to working closely with stakeholders to sustain development in Ogun State.
