Tension brews within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as speculation arises that former LP presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, may seek a different political platform for the 2027 general election if the party does not zone the ticket to the South.

Reports suggest Obi is considering a potential defection to the Action Alliance (AA) due to disagreements over the zoning arrangement of the party's presidential ticket. The Obidient Movement's National Coordinator, Dr.

Yunusa Tanko, hinted at Obi's possible resignation from ADC if the ticket is not zoned to the South. While there are suggestions of Obi exploring alternative platforms, no official confirmation has been made regarding his final choice.
