Abia Residents Rally for Tinubu and Kalu's Re-Election Efforts

On September 19, 2026, residents of Ugwueke Ezeukwu Ward in Bende local government area, Abia state, organized a solidarity walk to support the re-election bids of Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu and President Bola Tinubu. The event, initiated by Timmy Johnson Chinedu, chief of staff to APC chairman Hon Chijioke Chukwu, commenced from the country home of Chukwu.

Participants expressed gratitude for Kalu's contributions to infrastructural development in the ward, highlighting projects such as the construction of four-classroom blocks at Amaeze Community Primary School and Amaokai Community Primary School, and the furnishing of Amaba Central School. Additional projects included a rice processing mill, a cassava processing mill, and a palm oil processing mill.

The statement emphasized that the community would vote for Kalu in the upcoming elections, crediting him for significant developments since 2019. Traditional rulers also praised Kalu's legislative record during his 'Meet Your Constituents' tour.
