Tinubu Government Allegedly Blocking Peter Obi's 2027 Bid

The Obidient Movement, through its national coordinator Yunusa Tanko, has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of trying to obstruct Peter Obi's presidential ambitions for the 2027 elections. Tanko stated that the current government is fully involved in political party maneuvers aimed at preventing Obi, a former member of the Labour Party, from running for the highest political office in Nigeria.

He expressed sadness over what he described as a deliberate targeting of Obi, highlighting the political crisis stemming from Tinubu's administration. Tanko pointed out that Obi's situation is reminiscent of previous political party transitions, indicating a clear pattern of targeting by the federal government.

He emphasized that Obi is not a political nomad but rather a dedicated individual striving to improve the Nigerian democratic landscape and provide better choices for the populace.
