2027: Tinubu will garner 2 million votes in S’East, Obi won’t get ticket – Bwala

Presidential special adviser Daniel Bwala predicted that in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, may not secure the ticket. Bwala suggested that Obi's vote share could decrease by 50%, while boasting that President Tinubu could garner two million votes in the Southeast region in 2027.

Bwala also hinted that Obi might not even get the vice presidential slot. He criticized Obi for potentially causing division in Nigeria with his political agenda.

Bwala's comments came during an interview on Channels Television. It is worth noting that in July 2025, Peter Obi, a political heavyweight, supported the ADC platform in an opposition coalition aimed at unseating President Tinubu.
