Fayose Bets ₦10m on Tinubu's South-East Struggles

Isaac Fayose, a Nigerian businessman, has publicly stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will face significant challenges in securing votes from the South-East region in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. His remarks came in response to a rally organized by the City Boys Movement in Owerri, Imo State, aimed at boosting grassroots support for Tinubu.

The rally, which featured several public figures including businessman Pascal Okechukwu, reportedly had a modest turnout, leading Fayose to criticize the level of support for the president in the region. He shared a video on social media that suggested a lack of enthusiasm at the event.

Fayose further asserted that he is willing to bet ₦10 million that Tinubu will not receive more than 20% of the total votes cast in the South-East, referencing historical patterns of low electoral support for Tinubu's political platform during the 2023 presidential elections.
