Mustapha Salihu Enters Adamawa Governorship Race

Mustapha Salihu, the immediate past national vice chairman of the North East for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially joined the Adamawa governorship race. His decision, described as a last-minute move, is expected to alter the political dynamics in the state.

Salihu, who previously served as the executive secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), made this announcement during a gathering in Yola, where he received support from the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley, and other APC lawmakers. Salihu emphasized that his candidacy is a response to the clarion call from the people of Adamawa State.

He pledged to run an inclusive government that is fair and honest, aiming to build upon the developmental legacy of the current governor, Ahmadu Fintiri. Wesley reaffirmed the loyalty of the APC lawmakers to Fintiri, stating that they will support him wherever he stands.
