Bakari Announces Governorship Bid for Adamawa on APC Ticket

Dr. Salihu Bakari formally declared his intention to run for the governorship of Adamawa State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a press conference in Yola.

He presented a policy blueprint aimed at education reform, agricultural transformation, and human capital development. Bakari emphasized his extensive experience in public service, which he believes equips him to address the state's significant challenges.

He aims to consolidate past gains and introduce innovative policies to ensure sustainable growth. His educational initiatives include constructing thousands of classrooms and training 15,000 teachers over four years, alongside creating a new graduate school to strengthen the education system.

Bakari also proposed a cashless system to improve financial management at the grassroots level and pledged to enhance healthcare delivery, expand access to services, and provide free quality primary education. His administration would focus on empowering women and addressing youth unemployment through skill programs and enterprise support.
