APC Delegation Led by Senator Yari Engages Clerics in North

Senator Yari led a delegation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on a consultative tour across key states in the North Central, North West, and North East geopolitical zones. The delegation included APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former Kebbi State Governor Senator Adamu Aliero, former Borno State Governor Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Bashiru, among others.

The tour began in Jos, Plateau State, where they met Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, Chairman of the Council of Ulama of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS). In Bauchi, they engaged with Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, who prayed for President Tinubu and emphasized the need for ongoing dialogue with religious communities.

In Kaduna, discussions with Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau focused on national security, economic challenges, and rebuilding trust among diverse communities. The tour concluded in Kano with a visit to Sheikh Qaribullahi Nasiru Kabara, leader of the Qadiriyya movement.
