Yari Mobilizes Traditional Rulers for Tinubu's 2027 Bid

On Tuesday, Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, continued efforts to mobilize traditional rulers in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign for 2027. Yari visited the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, and the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar ibn Umar Garba El-Kanemi, accompanied by party chieftains.

Earlier, he had consulted with the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, and the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, in Sokoto and Lagos states. Yari expressed the campaign's intention to seek royal blessings and prayers for Tinubu’s re-election.

The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, emphasized the importance of continuity in governance and urged cooperation between political leaders, regardless of party affiliation. Yari also highlighted the Tinubu administration's economic achievements, noting an increase in GDP growth from 2.7% to 3.9% and a decrease in inflation from 22.9% to 15.9%.

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, supported the call for a second chance for President Tinubu.
