APC's Yilwatda Confirms Strength in Kano, Katsina for 2027

Yilwatda, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), confirmed the party's dominance over major voting blocs in Kano and Katsina states as they prepare for the 2027 general elections. In a media chat with journalists in Abuja, he dismissed concerns regarding the pressure from opposition parties and the potential impact of defections on the APC's electoral prospects.

Yilwatda identified Kano as a significant stronghold for the APC, emphasizing that Katsina is also firmly aligned with the party. He addressed worries about internal conflicts within the APC, citing the party's recent congress as evidence of its ability to manage competing interests without fracturing.

Yilwatda further attributed the party's stability to its unique internal mechanisms for conflict resolution, which he believes set the APC apart from other political parties in Nigeria. He insisted that political maneuvering and governance are not mutually exclusive, reinforcing the party's commitment to both.
