ADC Accuses Tinubu Government of Intimidating Malami

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly accused the Bola Tinubu-led federal government of attempting to intimidate former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami as part of a broader strategy to suppress opposition figures in Kebbi State ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a statement released on Sunday and co-signed by Kebbi State Chairman Sufiyanu Bala and Alhaji Shehu Aliyu Sambawa, the ADC alleged that the federal government is employing judicial measures to instill fear among opposition politicians and deter them from pursuing their political ambitions.

The ADC contends that the actions taken against Malami are designed to undermine his governorship aspirations and that various intimidation tactics are being used to achieve this goal. The party expressed confidence that nothing would hinder Malami's candidacy for the 2027 elections, despite the alleged political persecution and claims of asset confiscation as part of the federal government's coordinated strategy.
