25th Independent Newspapers Awards Introduce Public Voting in 2026 Ceremony

The 25th Independent Newspapers Awards will introduce public voting, with 40% of the total vote allocated to the public. The ceremony will take place on April 18, 2026, at Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The awards aim to recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to various sectors of the Nigerian economy. Entries will be judged based on impact, innovation, leadership, sustainability, and contributions to national development.

Nominations will open on January 15, 2026, and close on February 12, 2026, with the shortlist announced on March 31, 2026. Public voting will open on April 14, 2026, ahead of the award night.
