Three Suspects Arraigned for Murder of Nigerian Driver

Three suspects have been arraigned in Pretoria Central Magistrate Court in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Nigerian driver Isaac Satlet. The suspects, identified as Dikeledi Mphela, Gotseon Machidi, and McClaren Mushwana, were brought to court on a Monday, following the gruesome killing of Satlet.

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has demanded justice for Satlet, who was set to graduate in March and had plans for further studies in Canada.

NIDCOM's Director of Media and Public Relations, Abdur Rahman Balogun, issued a press statement expressing concern over the rising rate of violence against Nigerians in South Africa. A fourth suspect reportedly voluntarily turned themselves in.

The Nigerian and South African communities showed solidarity outside the court, welcoming the arrests and arraignment of the suspects.
