Court to Rule on Saleh Mamman's ₦33.8bn Fraud Case

The Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has set June 9, 2026, as the date for delivering judgment in the case against Saleh Mamman, the former Minister of Power. Mamman faces 12 counts of fraud, including conspiracy to commit money laundering involving ₦33,804,830,503.73 (over thirty-three billion naira).

His counsel, Femi Atteh, SAN, submitted the final written address on behalf of the defense on April 1, 2026, and subsequently filed a reply to the prosecution's address. The prosecution, led by Rotimi Oyedepo, SAN, filed their final written address on April 14, 2026, urging the court to convict Mamman on all counts.

Justice Omotosho presides over the case, which has been adjourned until the judgment date.
