3SC Returns to Continental Football After 27 Years

3SC's coach Nurudeen Aweroro expressed profound gratitude towards his players for their efforts in achieving a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League, which secured the club a spot in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup. This achievement marks the end of a 27-year absence from continental club football for the Ibadan-based team.

Despite a 1-0 loss to Niger Tornadoes in the final match of the campaign, 3SC maintained their third-place position due to results elsewhere. Aweroro, who guided 3SC to a fourth-place finish in his debut season, emphasized the importance of the players and backroom staff in this success, attributing the achievement to their hard work and dedication.

He acknowledged Taiwo Lekan Salami for his belief in the team and expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the club's journey back to continental competition.
