4 Nigeria Premier Football League Clubs to Get ₦616 Million From Continental Tournament

Four Nigeria Premier Football League clubs, including Remo Stars, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, and Kwara United, are set to receive financial support totaling ₦616 million for their participation in the continental tournament. The clubs qualified for the preliminary round of the Interclub competition organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The CAF is providing funding to cover logistics for the first two rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup. The matches are scheduled to take place in September, with Remo Stars facing US Zilimadjou from Comoros, and Rivers United battling DR Congo's Aigles Lupopo Maniema U.

Nigeria sports journalist Adeyemi Oluwafemi praised CAF for setting a standard in African football and providing financial support to teams in need.
