Tinubu to Launch Projects at UNILORIN's 41st Convocation

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to commission several projects at the University of Ilorin on October 23, 2026, as part of the activities for the institution's 41st convocation. This announcement was made by the vice chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole (SAN), during a pre-convocation press briefing held at the university auditorium in Ilorin.
Tinubu, who serves as the visitor to the university, will also inspect ongoing projects at various stages of completion. The convocation will see a total of 16,152 students graduating for the 2025/2026 academic session, including 365 students who achieved First Class Degrees.
Additionally, 8,320 students will graduate under the U-INSPIRE programme, which focuses on equipping participants with modern skills through partnerships with ten industry partners. The university recently secured full accreditation for 11 academic programmes and was awarded the 2025/2026 Responsible Futures Fee Waiver Grant by the International Association of Universities, promoting sustainability in higher education.
