UNILORIN Senate Approves Degrees for 10,141 Students

The Senate of the University of Ilorin approved the results of 10,141 students for the award of first degrees for the 2025/2026 academic session during its 312th meeting held on August 31, 2026. The meeting took place in the Senate chamber and was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN.

Additionally, the Senate approved results for postgraduate and professional programmes, including PhD and master’s degrees, as well as professional master’s programmes of the Institute of Education and those run by affiliated institutions. The results were presented by Prof. Moji Taibat Bakare-Odunola, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and chairman of the Business Committee of the Senate.

This approval allows the students to participate in the university’s 41st convocation ceremonies scheduled for October 2026. Prof. Egbewole urged relevant authorities to ensure that any outstanding results are processed and submitted before the next Senate meeting to avoid administrative delays that could exclude qualified students from the convocation.
