Police Rescue 5 Abducted Students in Rivers State, Nigeria

The Rivers State Police Command, through spokesperson Grace Iring Koko, confirmed the rescue of five abducted students from a university in Rivers State. The students were kidnapped by suspected cultists who stormed the institution's off-campus residence in Rumuchi Rumuohia, Emuoha Local Government Area.

The victims were rescued in the wee hours of Thursday and are currently undergoing medical examinations in a hospital. The university campus in Nkpolu Oroworukwu, Port Harcourt, is facing security challenges as hoodlums continue to attack students.

Efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing cultists responsible for the abduction.
