NEPC to Disburse $50m Fund for Women Exporters in Nigeria

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) revealed plans to disburse a $50 million fund in Q1 2026 to empower women exporters in Nigeria. The initiative aims to support women-led businesses in the digital economy, providing training, financial assistance, market access, and mentorship.

During a town hall meeting in Abuja, Nony Ayeni, NEPC's Executive Director, highlighted the progress made since the fund's launch in August 2025. Notably, 146 Nigerian women entrepreneurs are set to benefit from the program, with top-tier coaches and trainers, including Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala from the World Trade Organization (WTO), offering support in financial literacy, leadership skills, and digital tools.
