Nigeria's Non-Oil Exports Reach Historic High of $6.1 Billion in 2025

In 2025, Nigeria's non-oil export sector reached a record high of $6.1 billion, marking an 11.5% increase from the previous year. The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) highlighted the country's efforts to diversify its economy and enhance global competitiveness.

Nony Ayeni, the Executive Director of NEPC, emphasized the sector's resilience and relevance to Nigeria's economy. The top global destinations for Nigeria's non-oil exports included the Netherlands, Brazil, India, and the USA.

Despite challenges within the ECOWAS region, Nigeria's export receipts to over 120 countries showcased the sector's growth potential.
