Kaduna Imam Leads Prayers for Nigeria's Independence Day

On the occasion of the 66th Independence Day celebration, the Kaduna State Government organized special prayers at Sultan Bello mosque for the peace, stability, and economic prosperity of Nigeria. The prayers were led by Deputy Chief Imam Malam Abdullahi Aliyu after the Jumaat prayer, attended by Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, Dr AbdulKadir Muázu Meyere, senior government officials, and Muslim faithful.

Malam Abdullahi prayed for wisdom and guidance for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. He urged political leaders and citizens to uphold trust and integrity in governance, emphasizing that honesty is a divine obligation.

The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, outlined further activities for the Independence Day celebration, including an inter-denominational church service at Living Faith Church, where Attorney General Dr James Kanyip will represent the Governor. The climax of the celebrations will be an official parade at Murtala Mohammed Square on October 1.
