Nigerian Security Forces Arrest 8 More Suspects in Borno Mosque Bombing Case

Nigerian security forces, under Operation Hadin Kai, have apprehended 8 additional suspects connected to a recent suicide bombing at a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State. The attack, allegedly masterminded by Sheriff Umar, resulted in the death of five worshippers and injuries to 35 others.

The arrests were made during an operation in the Yan Lemur area of Mubi South LGA in Adamawa State. The suspects were found with cash, mobile phones, identification documents, ATM cards, jewelry, and other personal effects, currently undergoing forensic analysis.

Two principal suspects involved in the supply of materials for the bomb have also been identified and are in custody.
