Shuaib Oyedokun, a 91-year-old former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, delivered a speech encouraging Nigerian youths to embrace hard work and discipline at the launch of his memoir titled "Chief Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun: Peace Memoir." The event took place in Osogbo, Osun State, on a Thursday, coinciding with his 91st birthday celebration. Oyedokun, who served under the late Dr.

Omololu Olunloyo, expressed concern over the rising immoral behavior among the youth and urged them to seek mentorship from individuals of noble character. He advised against blindly following others and emphasized the importance of adhering to parental guidance and religious tenets.

The event was attended by notable figures, including former Osun State Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and gubernatorial candidate Bola Oyebamiji. Oyedokun previously served as the deputy national chairman of the People's Democratic Party before joining the APC.
