Sahara Group Appoints Chidilim Menakaya as MD

Sahara Group has appointed Chidilim Menakaya as its new Managing Director, advancing its “Beyond XXX” growth vision. Menakaya's promotion is internal, following her role as Head of Corporate Services for Sahara’s Upstream business, where she gained significant exposure to the company's core energy operations.

She has also led the Sahara Group Foundation, implementing initiatives like the EXTRApreneurship model and the Sahara Impact Fund across Africa. With over 20 years of leadership experience in various sectors, including telecommunications at MTN and healthcare at Sanofi, Menakaya is well-equipped for corporate transformation.

She holds certifications as a Prosci-certified Change Management Practitioner and a Certified Human Resources Business Partner, which are crucial for guiding organizations through structural changes. Menakaya's established relationships with regulators and communities, built through her previous work, will facilitate Sahara's expansion and innovation strategy.
