Sahara Appoints Chidilim Menakaya as Managing Director

Sahara has appointed Chidilim Menakaya as the new Managing Director, a significant step in advancing the company's Beyond XXX vision and its next phase of growth, innovation, and impact. Menakaya is a seasoned transformation and strategy executive with over two decades of leadership experience across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Prior to this role, she served as the Director of the Sahara Foundation, where she successfully led the company's sustainability and social impact agenda, expanding the reach of Sahara’s EXTRApreneurship model and strengthening strategic partnerships. Ade Odunsi, Executive Director at Sahara, stated that this appointment reflects the company's confidence in purposeful leadership and its commitment to future growth.

Menakaya will provide strategic leadership in steering Sahara’s Beyond XXX agenda, enhancing stakeholder value, and positioning the company for continued growth and global relevance. She holds qualifications from prestigious institutions, including London Business School and INSEAD, and is a certified Human Resources Business Partner and Change Management Practitioner.
