Wike: AbdulRazaq Must Be 'Super Governor' Amid Crisis

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), asserted that Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq must become a "super governor" to survive the political turmoil resulting from the displacement of key members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Wike's comments followed the emergence of the Kwara Rainbow Coalition, which includes aggrieved politicians who have shifted their support to opposition platforms while still backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Wike accused AbdulRazaq of blackmailing him regarding the coalition's formation and claimed the governor has been campaigning against him. He criticized AbdulRazaq for removing three senators and several House of Representatives members, suggesting that such actions would inevitably lead to a political crisis.

Wike emphasized that the displaced politicians chose to join a PDP faction supporting Tinubu rather than opposing him, highlighting the need for AbdulRazaq to appreciate their political alignment rather than viewing it as a threat.
