Abia Ex-Deputy Gov Joins LP, Gets PDP’s Knocks

Former Abia State Deputy Governor, Ude Oko Chukwu, recently joined the Labour Party (LP) after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP responded to his resignation by calling it a "good riddance" and stating that his exit was no loss.

Chukwu, in his hometown of Nkporo, Ohafia local government, announced his decision to join the LP, citing Governor Alex Otti's sincerity in governance as a key factor. LP's state chairman, Emmanuel Oti, welcomed Chukwu and attributed the influx of people into the party to the positive impact of Governor Otti.

The PDP, on the other hand, criticized Chukwu's move, stating that during his 20-year tenure in power, he had nothing to show for it and left a legacy of darkness and wasted years.
