Our defection to PDP will strengthen Mbah’s administration – LP Lawmaker, Obetta

LP lawmaker Chidi Mark Obetta, representing South Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly, announced his defection to the ruling PDP in Enugu State. He believes this move will strengthen Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's administration.

Obetta made this statement during an interface with the state governor and party leader in Enugu North Senatorial zone. He highlighted recent appointments of Nsukka indigenes to key positions at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as a positive development.

Obetta, along with other colleagues and supporters, decided to return to the PDP due to leadership crises in their former party, Labour Party. He emphasized that their decision was based on a shared vision for development and transformation in the state.

Obetta assured the governor of their commitment and support, particularly from the people of Nsukka. The lawmaker participated in interactive meetings with grassroots leaders from the six local governments in the zone.
