Abia LG Chairman Warns Against Illegal Collection of Villagers' NIN and Voter Cards

The Chairman of Bend LGA in Abia State, Uwabunkony Bassei, has accused unnamed politicians of planning to illegally obtain sensitive details of villagers, including their National Identification Number (NIN) and voter card numbers during political party registration exercises. The chairman, through a statement signed by his special adviser Chimezi Princewel Okezi, warned residents against sharing personal information with unauthorized persons.

He emphasized that collecting such information in an unsolicited manner is illegal and contrary to established democratic processes. The chairman urged residents to be cautious and protect their data.
