Abike Dabiri-Erewa's Role in Tinubu's Diaspora Strategy

Abike Dabiri-Erewa serves as the Director of Diaspora Mobilisation for the APC Presidential Campaign Council and is the Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM). Her extensive experience includes facilitating the rescue and repatriation of 244 trafficked Nigerians from West African countries and coordinating the return of stranded citizens from Ghana and Mali.

Under her leadership, NiDCOM has resolved over 1,000 petitions from Nigerians abroad concerning issues like real estate fraud and investment scams. Dabiri-Erewa has also initiated “Brain Gain” programs to attract skilled Nigerian professionals back to critical sectors.

She leads the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit, aimed at channeling diaspora investments into healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure. Her work has established a significant network that is crucial for engaging Nigerians living abroad, emphasizing relationship-building over traditional political communication methods.
