Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun Mourns Sheikh Babalola's Death

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun expressed profound shock at the death of Sheikh Sikirulai Babalola, the Grand Chief Imam of Yewaland and President of the League of Imams in Ogun State. Babalola, who passed away at the age of 98, was recognized for his dedication to Islam and his significant leadership role within the Muslim community.

Governor Abiodun made these remarks during the burial ceremony held on Sunday in Igan Alad Yewa North Local Government Area. He described the late cleric as a man of integrity and generosity, emphasizing the enduring legacy of service he left behind.

Abiodun noted the loss felt by the entire state and prayed for the deceased's eternal rest. State Health Minister Iziq Kunle Salako also spoke at the ceremony, highlighting Babalola's commitment to serving humanity and the Muslim community.

Dr. Raji Akano, who delivered a brief lecture, urged people to live impactful lives, acknowledging the inevitability of death.
