Prominent Islamic Scholar Sheikh Abdulqodir Al-Adaby Dies

Sheikh Abdulqodir Al-Adaby, a respected Islamic scholar in Kwara State, passed away at the age of 82. His death occurred shortly before Jumu'ah prayers on a Friday, and he was laid to rest around 5:30 PM.

Sheikh Muhammad Kamaludeen Al-Adaby, his eldest surviving son, noted the significant loss felt by the community. The Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, described the cleric's death as a colossal loss and expressed condolences through his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona.

Sheikh Abdulqodir was recognized for his dedication to Islam, scholarship, and peaceful coexistence. Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq also expressed his condolences, highlighting the late cleric's immense grace, patience, and wisdom, which earned him admiration across the Muslim community.

The governor noted that Sheikh Abdulqodir's passing creates a vacuum within the Ansarul Islam Movement and the wider Islamic community.
