ABU Zaria Refutes False Claims of Secret Nuclear Weapons Project in Nigeria

Ahmadu Bello University in Kaduna, Nigeria, refuted viral claims of involvement in a secret nuclear weapons project. The university's Director of Public Affairs, Malam Auwalu Umar, clarified that the video circulating on social media was misleading and aimed to distort Nigeria's peaceful nuclear energy initiatives.

Umar highlighted ABU's historical commitment to nuclear research for peaceful purposes, dating back to the establishment of its Center for Energy Research in 1976.
